What is an Academic Petition?
An academic petition is a formal appeal made by a student to request an exception
to an academic policy or requirement (see www.ciu.edu/catalogs for
a complete listing of policies and requirements). 
 
Please use the following to assist you as you write your petition. 
 If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the

The Registrar's Office will notify you by CIU email of the status of your petition.
